Kleinmann's Tortoise
Testudo Kleinmanni has been affected by illegal international pet trade that began using Libyan stocks. Also agriculture is a reason why they are critically endangered. Three testudo generations ago there were 55-56,000 adult kleinmanns but now there are only 7,500. Illegal pet trade has been feared to have reduced the population to maybe 1,000 adult tortoises in the two or three remaining sub populations.
