GarageBand is a cool app available on the iPad to make audio (mp3) files, and we used it to create our radio show about (insert the name of your hominid here).
Garageband is simple to use. To begin, you open the app by tapping the icon on your homescreen. Once it opens you will be able to create a new “song,” which is what the projects are called on GarageBand. And then you search for the microphone and you tap on that. And then if you want the metronome off you press on the wrench on the top right corner. And then you tap metronome off. Then under that there is a plus sign + you tap on section A. And then you tap on automatic on. So if you have a long speech. And then you tap on the record button which is a big red circle on the top. And then you say what you want to say then when you are done you tap on that button again to stop it. Then there is a bunch of lines on top of each other next to the microphone button. Tap on that. And then you will see what you recorded. If you want music in the beginning and end then you press on the big loop next to the wrench. Then you pick what tune you want. And you drag under it under your recording. Then you can shorten it/lengthen it by stretching out the sides. and you can also drag it where you want to be in the recording. And if you want another microphone recording or a musical recording you tap on the plus + on the bottom left corner. If you follow this tips or if you use these you will be a garageband pro.
